About University College London

UCL has one of the largest Widening Participation operations in the country. Our work is innovative, evidence-led and shapes national direction, working at all levels from primary through to mature students returning to education.

All of our events and activities are designed to give students a greater insight into UCL's degree programmes and student life. We also seek to raise the aspirations of students from groups who are underrepresented at university.

We hold a Silver Athena SWAN award in recognition of our progressive work practice. Each year, we invest £13.5 million in bursaries and activities to support students from diverse backgrounds to enter and succeed.

Our events and activities are funded by UCL's Access and Participation Plan and Widening Participation funds. As such, there are eligibility criteria that all applicants should consider before applying – you can find out more about our who we work with on our website.
