UniTasterDays Ltd act as the data controller of the personal data you provide through our websites and their subpages.
You can browse our website without providing us with your personal data. If you wish to contact the organisations listed on our website, send an event request or receive our events-by-email newsletter then we will need your personal information.
Many organisations listing on our website include a web-link and you can also use this without the need to provide us with your personal information.
We collect information from you when you subscribe to our events-by-email newsletter, send an enquiry to a higher education institution or other education provider, use our event listings tool supplied to other websites, complete a survey, request a university event, register to add events and provide your feedback.
Unless stated otherwise, the legal basis for processing your data is your consent and this is something you can withdraw at any time (please refer to our contact details above or at the bottom of all our web pages).
There is some information that you must provide when requesting more details on event opportunities listed on our website. We will need to pass on your name, contact details, school or institution name, job title or education status, your message and the event you are interested in.
All this information is used by the higher education institution to provide you with the best response to your enquiry.
The data submitted in your enquiry is sent by email to the higher education institution named. The provider should then respond to your enquiry directly and will be responsible for gaining your consent to store or process your data further after that.
When you submit an email enquiry via our website it is subject to the same levels of security as any standard email message. This means that the email could be intercepted and read by a third party. We also store all email enquiry data securely on our own servers. We may also provide access to a copy of your enquiry to the receiving course provider in their secure, password protected account on our websites. Some course providers choose to receive copies of their enquiries delivered to them in a password protected file by email.
UniTasterDays do not have any control of how the data is stored by the higher education institution when this is sent, nor can we provide details of the privacy policy for each institution beforehand. When an event enquiry is sent, you will be asked to consent to the information included being sent to the institution managing the event and subsequently consent to the institution running the event contacting you in relation to this.
Please consider this prior to submitting an event enquiry. The enquiry cannot be successfully sent without this consent being granted.

Newsletter data is held by UniTasterDays as the data controller to send updates of the latest relevant higher education events on a weekly basis, and bespoke event announcements from higher education institutions.
By providing this data, you will be asked to consent to UniTasterDays using this as outlined in this section.
The data includes personal data which will be supplied by you, to include your full name, current role and your event email preferences.
Your data is processed by UniTasterDays based on you having a legitimate interest in this information.
Your data will not be sold or passed on to third parties unless we are legally required to do so.

Occasionally we may give visitors to our website or those who have signed up to our events-by-email newsletter the chance to take part in relevant surveys if there is a reason that this would be in your legitimate interest.
Typically, a survey will ask for some brief demographic details and will then go on to ask about your opinions and intentions relating to education choices. If there is an incentive for completing the survey (such as the chance to win an online gift voucher), then you will also have the opportunity to supply an email address. All survey data will only be processed anonymously, and no contact details will not be passed on to any third party.
Where is it stored:
We use industry standard and widely trusted survey platforms. We currently use TypeForm. com. You can see Typeform’s privacy policy at https://admin.typeform.com/to/dwk6gt. Our account is password protected.
Other approved websites may choose to use a UniTasterDays events feed for their own website.
This technology is provided by UniTasterDays and hosted by the website the event listings tool is used on. Any data collected will adhere to the information in this privacy policy in the same manner as the sending an enquiry to an organisation advertising on our websites section of this policy.
When an event enquiry is sent, you will be asked to consent to the information included being sent to the institution managing the event. You will be also asked to consent to the institution contacting you in relation to this. The enquiry cannot be successfully sent without this consent being granted.
Data from event requests is not stored by UniTasterDays (other than in email records).
Details of the event request are forwarded on to the universities requested by you when an event request is completed. UniTasterDays do not have any control of how the data is stored by the university when this is sent, nor can we provide details of the privacy policy for each institution. Please consider this prior to submitting an event request.
When an event request is sent, you will be asked to consent to the information included being sent to each institution you select and consent to the institution contacting you in relation to this. The event request cannot be successfully sent without this consent being granted.
Customers login details are stored by UniTasterDays. We may use these to contact you occasionally relating to your events on the UniTasterDays site. This would only be where this would be in your legitimate interests, for example event updates or potential new event listing opportunities.
Any feedback that is submitted through the 'Feedback' area of our site becomes the property of UniTasterDays Ltd. We may use this feedback, such as success stories, for marketing purposes, or to contact you for further feedback on the site.
UniTasterDays Ltd is the data controller. Data is stored on secure servers. All data capture and login information is transferred using SSL (secure sockets layer) technology to ensure that your information is transmitted safely across the internet.
Student and parent events by email registrations will be stored for up to three years. An opt-out will be included in every email communication sent, as well as a link to this privacy policy.
Teacher, school staff and careers advisor data is stored for as long as the data subject is in post. Data is removed when the email address is no longer valid (bounces back) or when we are requested to do so.
Despite our core audience being teachers, careers staff and support staff in school, students are very welcome on the site and can register for the events-by-email service and send enquiries providing they are aged 16 or over.
Students will be asked to confirm this when enquiries are sent and they join the events-by-email service that they are aged 16 or above. Unfortunately users will not be able to use our services if you are under the age of 16.
We use technologies such as cookies to customise content and advertising, to provide social media features and to analyse traffic to our websites. We also share information about your use of our site with our trusted social media, advertising and analytics partners.
