Research shows that effective middle leadership is a key factor in a school's success, with middle leaders responsible for providing the structure and the administration for a school to perform at the highest level.
UCL is offering middle leaders in SLT teams a free, year-long professional development programme that will provide a framework for you to develop your leadership capacities and capability to contribute to whole school improvement. It will also focus on integration with Senior Leaders and how the SLT as a whole can function more efficiently.
The programme is offered free of charge to participating east London schools through UCL East Schools Engagement and is delivered by the UCL Centre for Educational Leadership (CEL).
Dates: The programme begins in September 2026 and runs until July 2027.
