Food and Nutrition Taster Days

Sheffield Hallam University is hosting a series of Taster Days for current Year 12 and 13 students looking to enter a career in Food and Nutrition. The days are designed so that students can experience what our courses in Food and Nutrition are like through a carousel of activities, hosted by our academic staff in our excellent facilities.   

• Activity 1 – The functions of sugars in baked goods
• Activity 2 – How perception of taste may influence food choices
• Activity 3 – Measuring calorie use in the body

During the day we will also make it clear to students what career opportunities could follow a degree in food and nutrition and the entry requirements for our courses.

Due to capacity in our specialist facilities, and to ensure a fully interactive experience, spaces are limited to 45 students in total. As such, places will be reserved on a first come first served basis.
