Experience Engineering

Booking Deadline:

In this taster day you’ll get the opportunity to experience what it’s like to study engineering at University.

You’ll use the latest cutting-edge facilities as you have a go at learning how to solder your own circuit board to take home in an Electronic workshop and use our high-performance computing labs to learn how to use professional design software. You’ll also have a chance to ask questions to current engineering students and find out from academics what career pathways an engineering degree opens up.

This experience can also help your Personal Statement stand out.

The day is free of charge and will be led by Engineering academics and current Engineering students. It's also perfect if you haven't decided what engineering discipline you want to study yet as you will have the chance to find out more about the different disciplines and have a chat to academics about the different routes.

You must be 16 or over to sign up to this event and be studying A Level Maths, or an Extended Diploma in Engineering or Extended Diploma in Electronic Engineering or Extended Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Please note this event does not cover Civil Engineering
