Full event details

Have you got a passion you want to broadcast?

Do you want to gain the knowledge and technical skills to ensure your podcast is a success?

You’re never too young to start, and this course is the prefect place to begin.

This course will introduce you to the best practices of developing and producing an original podcast with the goal of having you leave the course with a fully formed plan to create a podcast and reach new audiences.

What You'll Study:

Right now, there is probably no more exciting (and certainly no faster-growing) media space than podcasting.

Over the last twenty years it has grown from a niche interest on the fringes of internet blogging to a multi-billion-pound industry.

It has developed into a mainstream media option providing hours of content for listeners and viewers yet remains a space where new voices are given opportunities and where experimental approaches to storytelling can exist.

Everyone, from traditional broadcasters to political activists to big businesses are using and experimenting with podcasts to take their messaging to a wider audience.

Social Events:

We appoint NTU Student Ambassadors who host social events on Monday and Wednesday evening to help you make friends across the whole of our summer school programme for 15 – 17 year olds, which are free to attend.

Duke of Edinburgh:

This course can count as your Gold DofE Residential Award and is an amazing opportunity to make new friends and memories. It will be fun and gently challenging, allowing you to follow your passion and discover talents you never knew you had.

DofE participants must book both the course and accommodation on campus for this to count towards your Gold Award.

You must also attend the social events that are planned on Monday and Wednesday evenings, and you must plan and attend your own social activities with other participants on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

Prices:

Course: £525.00 + (optional) Accommodation: £259.00

You can find out more about our facilities, tutors and how to book your place on the NTU website.
