Target Law is a year-long programme offering mentoring to aspiring law students. It is designed for students from non-selective state schools within Greater London who meet selected eligibility criteria.
We offer a programme of mentoring over a period of two school terms that straddle Year 12 and 13. You will get support with the technical skills required for a successful UCAS application (e.g. the Personal Statement; the LNAT essay and multiple choice questions) as well as a chance to get advice on university life from a selected group of LLB students who are trained to be their mentors in each of the sessions.
You wil get the opportunity to visit UCL for each of the Target Law sessions, but will also get to sit in on a lecture or tutorial; attend a ‘Meet the Lawyer’ event hosted by legal practitioners (this year we welcomed a judge, a barrister and a solicitor talking to them about their path to law and their chosen careers) and attend a visit to the Supreme Court!
