Full event details

The meeting point between science and art, with no prior experience necessary, this technical and creative subject celebrates diversity in subject backgrounds and houses a large variety of disciplines suited to those with an interest in the technical creation process of post-production in film, games, TV and advertising. Academic staff have varied backgrounds in Computer Science, Film, and Engineering, having worked on features such as The Hobbit and Planet of the Apes trilogies, Fast and Furious and Kingsman series', among other projects. With recent graduates working on upcoming projects for Warner Brothers, Amazon Prime, HBO, Paramount Pictures, Marvel and BBC, among others, this talk aims to inform and excite students about the potential of Computer Animation and Visual Effects, regardless of subject background, or experience.

This session lasts between 60-90 minutes. The main session is preceded by a welcome presentation and ends with a Q&A where students are free to ask questions. It is aimed at year group 12 and 13.
