A 'maze' ing! Early Years and Education Taster Event

Event Summary:

The A ‘maze’ ing challenge will be introduced with exploration into the underpinning educational principles. Such principles will include aspects that explore job roles in the Early Years and Education sector e.g. Childcare / Teaching.

This session will include a taster investigation into underpinning Education and Child Psychological theory, Teaching and learning strategies.

Participants will then be encouraged to pair up (although individual work is fine too). They are then assigned the task of designing and creating a large or small scale maze using the variety of creative and recycled materials available to them. To conclude, participants will have time to showcase their finished article before taking it home with them.

Why?
Exploration into recycled art, a STEAM challenge and fine motor physicality.

Where?
Staffordshire University- Stoke Campus (though this can be requested to be delivered in a school)

When?
Early September, early January and June are preferential, though booking is welcome at any time.

Number of students?
A minimum of 5 and a maximum of 15 at a time.

Year Groups?
Y9 – Y12

Suitable For:

Bookings by Teachers for Key Stage 3 (Students aged 11-14)
Bookings by Teachers for Key Stage 4 (Students aged 14-16)
Bookings by Teachers for Key Stage 5 (Students aged 16-18)
