BIOMEDICAL AND HEALTHCARE ENGINEERING AT CITY

As a trained biomedical and healthcare engineer, you directly apply the principles of science, engineering, and medicine to the operation of complex medical technologies. The expertise students develop at City will be used in the prognosis, diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of sick and injured people.

***

Our Engineering department run a variety of sessions available for schools and colleges, including talks on what it is like to study Engineering at university and taster lectures to give students a feel for university level study in the subject.

ACTIVITY DETAILS

We run the following session types:

  • TASTER SESSION: We run interactive taster sessions that introduce students to studying Engineering at university level. Sessions run at City are usually delivered in our Engineering labs, but we can also adapt some of our taster sessions to be delivered in your classroom.
  • WHY STUDY TALK: We can run a session which introduces the subject of biomedical and healthcare engineering, what it's like to study this subject at university, and different career paths in this field.
