LACE:HERE:NOW - behind the seams

LACE:HERE:NOW is an exciting city wide event brought to you by NTU and Nottingham Castle, celebrating that lace still inspires, fascinates and excites.

The event takes place in and around Nottingham from September 2012 to February 2013 in various formats and in key venues across the city.

NTU are offering Year 12 students a unique opportunity to go ‘behind the seams’ at the exhibitions at NTU and Nottingham Castle to learn more about lace, be inspired by its uses and meet the exhibiting designers and staff.

If you have an interest in fashion, textiles or design come along to NTU to see how studying these subjects at university could enable you to exhibit your work in future events and student led projects.

You can continue your journey through lace with a visit to the Castle, where all students will receive free entry to the Lace Works exhibition in the afternoon.

Teachers are also encouraged to attend and will be presented with a CD of images from the lace archive to use as a teaching aid in the classroom.

This event takes place from 10am - 12pm.

This event is open to group bookings: *please note that there will be a limit of ten students per group.
