University Application Afternoon for Access Students at St Mary's Uni

Event Summary:

This event gives Access Students the opportunity to get some last minute help with their UCAS applications. There will also be an opportunity to speak to current undergraduate students from an Access background and an insight to independent learning at university.

Timetable:

1.15pm Welcome and Register
There will be Student Ambassadors waiting at our main university reception to
greet you and take to you to the registration desk.

1.30pm Campus tours and Student Ambassador Q&A
You have the opportunity to go on a campus tour and/or speak to current
St Mary’s undergraduate students who have previously studied an Access
course.

2.30pm UCAS application Workshop
This session is being run by one of our admissions team who will give you all
the information you need in order to make an application to university. There
will also be an opportunity for you to ask any questions that you might have.

Initial Teacher Training Application Session
For those of you who are looking to apply for Primary teaching this session will
give you all the information you need in order to make an application to study
Primary teaching at university.

3.30pm Independent Learning at University
You will be helped to form realistic academic expectations by exploring effective
learning strategies. The emphasis will be on reading and lectures.

4.30pm Depart
