Studying music at universityMusic is a very broad discipline and it is important to know what exactly you want to study before applying, explains Laura. She talks about how to narrow down what you want to explore at university before going on to do your research.
When choosing to study music you will have the opportunity to study at university or at a conservatoire. Laura explains the difference between the two and the application process for both.
She goes on to speak about the application procedure, whether you will have to audition and how this has changed due to the coronavirus. Laura also talks about the course facilities and teaching methods as well as modules and assessments.
University is different in many aspects to school and college and you will need to demonstrate your commitment to studying your chosen subject for three years. Laura shares resources and application tips to ensure you are able to show your strengths to admission tutors. Finally, she speaks about writing your personal statement and core skills you will develop at university.
