We're here to encourage and support your students to explore their passions, while developing the skills they need for tomorrow’s opportunities. We can offer creative workshops, presentations, and tours to get your students excited about the prospect of further study. BSU's Outreach Package

Our support for schools and colleges covers broadly two areas:

  • Guidance Workshops: covering the nuts and bolts of HE: everything students need to know to succeed at university
  • Curriculum Workshops: focusing on a specific subject and give students an opportunity to explore an area they might be interested in studying

Guidance workshops

Our sessions can be delivered in either a talk or workshop style. Talks are ideal for assemblies and usually run for around 30 minutes, with extra time for any questions. Our workshops are best suited in a classroom and can take up to an hour, with activities.

Through discussions, group work, and games, we'll help engage your students and get them excited about higher education. Examples of guidance workshops are as follows -

Interactive curriculum workshops

These are designed to help inform your students about studying their course of interest at university. Workshops are usually delivered by our academic lecturers giving students a real taste of what their subject could be like. Examples of subject areas are as follows -

Student Led

Where possible we will always engage our Student Ambassadors in the work we do. We believe that the most effective and valuable advice future students can receive about Higher Education is by those on the ground, and those who have been on a similar journey to them.
