Are you thinking about a medical career? If you would like to meet with a range of medical professionals to find out how they became successful then join us at this event. These professionals will talk about why they love their work and how they got where they are today. You’ll also have the opportunity to chat about all aspects of starting a medical career and learn about the study routes and medical school application process.
Who is it for?
Students aged 15-19 interested in studying medicine.
How can this day help you?
Medicine is a vocational degree and studying medicine allows you to develop the practical and clinical capabilities specific to medicine, as well as the professional and personal attributes necessary to be a doctor. Some people are attracted to medicine by the idea of using their scientific knowledge and skills to relieve suffering arising from disease, accident or genetic inheritance. Some are interested in the responsibilities and status of the profession
Meet with Doctors and other healthcare professionals to hear about the pro's and con's of working in the field
Meet with admissions tutors and current students to learn in depth about the application process and what you need to do to get in
Network with peers from across the UK to share ideas and make new connections
