A three day summer school for students who are from Year 12 or further education colleges in the South East London and Kent region who have the potential to go on to higher education and have an interest in Music Technology, Video Production or Events Management.

The summer school programme will take place on the university’s Greenwich Campus and will include trips to the British Music Experience for research. There will be also be a final showcase event for friends and family at the British Music Experience on the 22 July 2013.
This exciting summer school is designed for Year 12 or further education students, providing the opportunity to experience university life and to discover what it is really like to be a university student, before making those important future decisions.
Over the course of three days, you will experience a challenging and interactive learning experience, with an emphasis on group practical work. In addition you will gain new specialist skills and knowledge and improve your team working, project planning and communication skills. There are three ‘strands’ available: music technology, video production and events management. Depending on the strand you choose, you will be either producing a remixed version of a local band’s music, shooting and editing a video or planning a showcase event.
