Spanish taster session: More than Magaluf - Prejudice, persecution and polemic on Mallorca

This talk looks at the case of the 'xuetes', descendants of converted Jews persecuted for centuries on Mallorca, and how a single novel helped to raise awareness internationally about what had for a long time been a taboo subject. We ask what it means to speak up for others and recognise that fake news is anything but new.
