This introductory lecture will look at the theory of Bruce Block contained in his book "The Visual Story". It will develop an understanding of the way different visual components can be used to generate or diminish intensity in film and how we might be able to apply this to our own work with just a basic awareness of his theory. This lecture is interactive requiring participation in testing the theories in real time using just a smartphone.
