This session focuses on one specific language skill that benefits a wide range of KS5 students: how to craft a strong and convincing academic argument. It breaks down the process of building and scaffolding persuasive academic arguments, including: how to identify credible and relevant sources of information; how to integrate quotations and paraphrases in an elegant way; and how to effectively link individual points together to craft a well-grounded academic argument. This will be relevant for a range of subjects, but specifically focuses on the use of English language in academic essay-writing.
