Full event details

Friday 16th October, 10am - 1pm

Students will be immersed in the world of bones and joints. There'll be hands-on activities, educational demonstrations, and collaborative exercises. Students will:

  • Gain a practical understanding of the musculoskeletal system
  • Learn about the role of a physiotherapy and rehabilitation therapist
  • How to maintain and improve joint health
  • Insight into the University's courses

What to Expect

Part One – Exploring Our Anatomy

Students will work within our Anatomy Centre to explore the structure of the lower limbs, including bones, hip, knee, and ankle joints. From there they will add soft tissue, muscles and finally will consider movement. Students will learn more about the anatomy of the body. They'll also learn how physiotherapists and rehabilitation therapists use this in practice.

Part Two – Let’s Get Practical

Students will put their learning into practice through movement analysis. Please note this part of the session will be practical. Participants will need to bring activewear so movement can be analysed in real time.

Due to the capacity of this event, for school bookings we are limiting this to five places per school. If you would like to be added to a waiting list if more spaces become available, please add this on the booking form.
