Full event details

This workshop is aligned with an existing module that is designed to give students a flavour of what completing a university-level placement would be like. We will run through some of the basic foundational knowledge students will learn during their placement module on our Education Studies course. This includes professional expectations, examples of types of placements they may undertake, and how they can search for a placement. We will do some interactive activities, such as encouraging students to explore different educational career paths in order to get them thinking about what kind of placement they may choose to complete in the future. This encourages students to think outside the box, as Education Studies as a course opens up opportunities for students to prepare for a range of different careers beyond (but also including) teaching.
