Full event details

The session begins with a thought-provoking movement activity that highlights differences in opportunity, followed by small-group discussions based on realistic student scenarios. A fast-paced “Myth or Reality” quiz challenges common assumptions about fairness and success in education, encouraging critical thinking and debate.

Students will leave with a deeper understanding of how unseen advantages and barriers can shape educational journeys, as well as greater empathy for others’ experiences. The session supports key skills including discussion, reflection, and evaluation, as well as giving students a taster of some of the topics and themes we discuss on our childhood, youth and community courses at BCU.
