It explores the importance of the key person role in supporting children’s development, wellbeing, and secure attachments, while also highlighting current workforce challenges such as recruitment, retention, and professional recognition.

Through interactive activities, including group work, discussions, and research tasks, students actively engage with the content and develop teamwork and decision-making skills. They are encouraged to share ideas, consider different perspectives, and apply their understanding in practical contexts. Overall, the session promotes collaboration, informed discussion, and a deeper understanding of both the opportunities and challenges within the early years sector
