Full event details

Join Dr Encarna Mico Amigo from Heriot-Watt's Mechanical Engineering Department and learn about some of her current research on Thursday 12th November at 18.00 - 18.45.

Explore how everyday wearable devices can provide continuous physiological data, including heart rate, variability, movement, and sleep, to uncover early indicators of health changes. These insights enable us to predict disease progression in neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, and to identify risks in pregnancy, opening new possibilities for personalised and preventive healthcare.
