From developing life-saving medicines and sustainable materials to tackling climate change and clean water challenges, chemistry underpins solutions to many of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

We’ll explore diverse career pathways—including research, industry, healthcare, environmental science, and food forensics— to learn how chemists are driving innovation and solving real world problems, and how you can turn your scientific curiosity into a career that changes lives.

Whether you’re curious about lab work or interdisciplinary careers, this session will help you connect your interests to meaningful futures.

Suitable for: Aged 16+ pre-university students studying, or with a possible interest in studying, Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmacy, and related subjects. Student groups as well as students and teachers joining individually are very welcome.
