Full event details

When the tide is out, the Thames is the longest open-air archaeological site in London, and much of the foreshore is freely accessible. The Birkbeck field school is co-taught in conjunction with archaeologists from the Museum of London Archaeology (MOLA). It communicates an understanding of the prehistoric and historic Thames?and gives students direct work experience of professional practice as part of their academic programme. Come and find out about our recent findings, the material histories of lives associated with?the Thames, and more on our archaeology programmes at Birkbeck.
