The School of Sport is delighted to invite you to our Sport Discovery Day. The day contains a mixture of practical and classroom sessions that will expose attendees to some key concepts linked to the sports courses being offered at the University of Wolverhampton. This day is particularly suitable for A Level or BTEC students in Sport.
This day will take place at Walsall Campus.
Career in Sport
This session will explore current careersaround the sporting landscape. This workshop will also enable action planning alongside creating developing pathways into the sporting industry.
Sports and Exercise Therapy
A practical insight into the profession - This activity will introduce the context of Sport and Exercise Therapy and illustrate how it is used within the support of sport and exercise performance.
PE & School Sport
An introduction toexperiences how planning, leading and reflection skills form the basis of fulfilling the role of a teacher and coach.
Sport and Exercise Science
This session aims to provide an overview of this course and will provide the opportunity to develop our knowledge and skills essential to enter work within in the sport and exercise industry
*As elements of the day are practical, students will need to wear clothing suitable for outdoor practical activity.
You will be asked to select your preferred choice (3 of the 4) and will be assigned to sessions based on this.
