The day includes a mixture of interactive workshops, practical activities, and classroom-based sessions designed to introduce attendees to key concepts linked to the psychology courses offered at the University of Wolverhampton. Students will have the opportunity to explore areas such as cognitive psychology, mental health, social behaviour.
This day is particularly suitable for A Level or BTEC students studying Psychology or related subjects.
This day will take place at Wolverhampton City Campus.
Memory.
Memory is a key concept in cognitive
psychology, one of the core areas in psychology taught on a British Psychological Society accredited undergraduate degree programme in psychology.
Cyber Psychology.
This masterclass will introduce you to the field of Cyberpsychology, one of the newest areas of psychology which focuses on the psychological phenomena which emerge as a result of human interaction with the different digital technologies.
Techie Toys.
During this part of the day, students will be able to try out various psychological tests, tasks and puzzles, including perceptual illusions, the Tower of Hanoi, mirror drawing, and learn about the psychology behind them.
Q&A.
An opportunity to take part in a Q&A about university as well as to chat with some of our current psychology students
