Open Day

There are are number of ways you can learn more about the University of Sheffield as part of our undergraduate open days: 

Subject talks - These are the only fixed part of the day, which you choose when making your open day booking. You’ll hear from academics and students in your chosen school(s) and learn more about the programmes, courses and opportunities available to you at Sheffield. Many of our schools will also have subject exhibitions where you can talk to staff and students in more depth about your options.

Accommodation visits - As part of your day you can visit our award-winning Endcliffe and Ranmoor accommodation. You can view our en-suite and shared-bathroom accommodation and check out the outstanding facilities and beautiful green spaces.

University talks - These 20-minute presentations run throughout the day, and are an opportunity to learn more about our university, our accommodation, student life, study abroad opportunities, fees and funding and more.

Information fair - Our information fair showcases everything you need to know about the support and services on offer at the University. It is an opportunity to talk to experts across a range of services and to get your specific questions answered.

Subject exhibitions and drop-ins - Our subject exhibitions are an opportunity to chat to staff and current students about the different subjects and specialisms you can study at Sheffield.

Tours - The best way to find out about our world-class facilities is to see them for yourself. As part of your visit you can take a student-led tour of our campus, city, sports and health facilities, Students’ Union,  libraries and more.
Our undergraduate open days are also the perfect opportunity to speak to students and staff, and discuss the things that matter to you.
