This is a four-day local (non-residential) experience that provides young people aged 16+ an amazing opportunity to explore STEM educational providers and companies, network with role models within the sector and develop a range of key skills through hands-on activities.

Who is it for?

Students aged 16 or above within one hour travel distance of the locations. ?

What is involved?

The experience will include four days discovering different STEM pathways from universities to local companies while taking part in interactive workshops, university labs and hearing from industry professionals about different journeys into STEM.  

 
What are the outcomes?

A chance to explore STEM at university and a range of STEM companies in person over four days
Network with STEM professionals and students, including apprentices, graduates and more experienced experts about their experiences and the different routes into a STEM career
Gain key examples to add to your CV or university application to show your interest in STEM and proactive approach
Develop key skills including team working, problem solving, presentation skills,   communication and confidence
Take part in hands-on activities in STEM in order to explore what is involved in STEM courses and careers
