“Call the cops!” COP culture and danger - Criminology AberWorkshop This workshop focuses on the culture of the police (COP) and will introduce discussions around key themes that are central to the study of COP. Police culture refers to shared attitudes and beliefs amongst officers about the nature of policing, their role and how these beliefs directly influence their use of discretion e.g. discretion impacts how officers make decisions, such as whether to stop and search a member of the public.
AberWorkshops are designed to be interactive and thought-provoking, providing valuable insight into university study and subject pathways while encouraging critical thinking and discussion.
