"Walking the Plank - The Scourge of Modern Piracy" - Law AberWorkshop
This session will look at the problem of modern-day maritime piracy, the first international Criminal Law during the twentieth century. It will explore who really rules the high seas, as well as the dangers of lurking out there on the water–and how they could potentially prove costly for all of us. It will then look at what steps have been taken to counter piracy, and what challenges remain.
AberWorkshops are designed to be interactive and thought-provoking, providing valuable insight into university study and subject pathways while encouraging critical thinking and discussion.
