Subject Taster Day: Dance Making and Performance

Your students will take part in an interactive workshop in their chosen subject area; gain an understanding of the different teaching methods used by university academics and see at first hand the academic facilities available to them. They will also be able to meet some current Coventry University students and get an inside view from them about the CU experience.

Taster days with the Performing Arts team at Coventry University provide the students with an opportunity to experience studying a degree level course in Dance. During the visit to the department they will be offered a practical workshop introducing key areas of study and the approaches to learning central to our courses. There will also be the chance to experience the specialist teaching spaces used by our students and to hear informally more about our courses from staff, including study abroad schemes and graduate opportunities.

Places on Subject Taster Days are limited and most only offer 20 spaces, such as the Performing Arts, Media and Health subjects. However the Design courses do have the capacity to facilitate larger numbers. To avoid disappointment book early, by clicking onto our website and completing a booking form.

IMPORTANT: Bookings for Subject Taster Days must be made on a group basis by the school or college. We cannot accept individual bookings. We require a ratio of at least 1 teacher for every 15 students booked on. Please contact us if you have any queries about the booking process.
