LSE Insight - virtual event for year 11 students

Why take part?

Students will have the chance to:

• explore what university study is like at a world leading institution
• hear directly from LSE students, academics, and admissions specialists
• learn about LSE’s widening participation opportunities
• gain confidence in planning next steps.

The programme includes a student panel, a social sciences taster lecture, an introduction to LSE admissions, and practical guidance on choosing post-16 options.

Students who attend the full event will:

• receive special consideration when applying for LSE’s year 12 widening participation programmes
• be entered into a prize draw to win an LSE goodie bag and hoodie.

Eligibility

Aimed at year 11 students who attend a UK state school and meet at least one widening participation criterion, such as:

• care-experienced 
• eligible for free school meals
• live in an area of low higher education participation / high deprivation.
