Aims: To give students an overview of what the Art & Design Foundation course entails. To explain who the course is suitable for, including those who are undecided about their creative direction or do not yet meet the UCAS points for a degree.
To highlight the skills, confidence, and portfolio development students gain through the foundation year.
To showcase progression routes into a range of creative degree pathways and potential career opportunities.
Learning Outcome: By the end of the session, students will understand how a creative foundation year can support their development as emerging artists and designers, helping them identify their strengths, refine their creative interests, and prepare a strong portfolio for degree-level study. Q&A time also included.
