Arts and Creative Design Teacher Development Day focused on AI, animation, digital, and augmented reality (AR) technologies
We’re excited to invite you to a specialist staff development day at Middlesex University within our Arts and Creative Industries Faculty on our main campus within The Grove on Friday, 21st November 2025, from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
This event is designed specifically for Art and Design educators working in schools and FE colleges, with a focus on AI, animation, digital, and augmented reality technologies in creative education.

The workshops to choose from are:
Workshop 1: Get Animated: Where Analog Meets AI
Mixing traditional animation techniques with digital tools.? Get hands-on with stop motion techniques and see where traditional mediums are headed in the future with a non-technical introduction to AI’s impact on the creative industries.
Workshop 2: Digital Scanning and Augmented Reality
In this workshop, participants will learn how to scan student models and how to import the scans into Adobe Aero, where they’ll create a short video projecting the model into a space.
Workshop 3: Creative use of AI and what students need to know
An introductory workshop covering practical uses for artificial intelligence in the creative process and some of the pitfalls
