Full event details

Join us for a day of workshops and presentations around teaching the Brixton Uprising at GCSE.

We'll be exploring how to teach the history GCSE from a wider range of perspectives, with a focus on traditionally marginalised voices. We'll be sharing and testing new resources developed by our researchers at the Black Cultural Archives and The London Archives.

Other highlights include a Q&A on Power and the People with subject leads from AQA, tips on Brixton Uprising questions from an AQA marker, and the chance to look at Brixton Uprising primary sources first hand.

Brought to you by Royal Holloway, University of London's Inclusive Histories project, in collaboration with the Black Cultural Archives, The London Archives, and AQA.
