We have an exciting opportunity to open our on-campus newsroom to students interested in a career in Journalism or Social Media Management.
Wednesday 25th June - Thursday 26th June, 10am - 3pm
Our newsroom, the mediaHUB, is home to our Social Media Management, Journalism, Sports Journalism and Fashion Journalism students, providing a real-life taste of working as a journalist or social media manager.
The mediaHUB runs websites and social media channels covering sport, news, entertainment and fashion, provides content for news bulletins on our award-winning radio station, Spark Sunderland, and is responsible for writing and editing Spark magazine.
We’re hosting two experience days in the on-campus newsroom, where you’ll gain insight into newsroom operations, take part in research and writing activities, publish your own content, and immerse yourself in the role of a journalist or social media manager for the day. The experience days are run by our mediaHUB manager and former journalist at Sky News.
