Coventry University is running a series of free Taster Days this July. A Subject Taster Day provides students who are looking at coming to university in September 2013 (currently in year 12) with a taste of what student life at Coventry University is like.
Full Event Details:
Your students will take part in an interactive workshop in their chosen subject area; gain an understanding of the different teaching methods used by university academics and see at first hand the academic facilities available to them. They will also be able to meet some current Coventry University students and get an inside view from them about the CU experience.
On the Design and Visual Arts Taster Day you will be welcomed to the Coventry School of Art & Design and given a personal welcome to the Graham Sutherland building and the department of Design & Visual Arts. After a 20 minute presentation, you will be split into separate into groups depending upon your subject of interest: Graphic Design, Fine Art, Fashion or Illustration. Each group will then be encouraged to participate in an interactive workshop, followed by a tour of the facilities. You will also have the opportunity to ask members of the teaching staff questions relating to the course content and student experience.
Places on Subject Taster Days are limited and most only offer 20 spaces, such as the Performing Arts, Media and Health subjects. However the Design courses do have the capacity to facilitate larger numbers. To avoid disappointment book early, by clicking onto our website and completing a booking form.
IMPORTANT: Bookings for Subject Taster Days must be made on a group basis by the school or college. We cannot accept individual bookings. We require a ratio of at least 1 teacher for every 15 students booked on. Please contact us if you have any queries about the booking process.
