Focussed activities to kick start university research and application process, aiming to give all learners the chance to visualise university, from an academic and experiential point of view, aiming to break down barriers, widen participation, bust myths, and generate confidence in the decisions ahead as they move into year 13.
The event is split into zones:
Opportunities Zone - we'll be providing 1-1 support to help students visualise the huge range of exciting, added value elements that university provides and what other options are available.
Taster Zone - we have been working closely with academic colleagues to offer a huge range of 25 different subject tasters, allowing your students to explore their future career path in more detail.
Tea, Coffee and a Teacher's lounge -we want to support your students but also support you, we'll be offering a space for a moment of zen, discovery or networking with teachers and staff from all the institutions attending.
Teacher's workshop with a UCAS Representative - We are delighted to have UCAS present at the event, in the form of Sam Sykes, their School and Colleges Lead, who will be delivering a teacher focussed session. Sam is leading initiatives to expand support programs and build impactful connections between schools, colleges, and regional stakeholders. This session will bring you up to speed with all the stats and info from the 2025 cycle and everything you need to know to prepare you to go again, supporting your students in advance of 2026.
