Overview:
This engaging and interactive masterclass will introduce students to the fascinating world of psychosis—what it is, how it is diagnosed, and how cultural beliefs influence its perception and treatment. Students will explore real-life case studies, discuss the impact of stigma, and learn about current research in mental health care.
Aims:
· Provide an introduction to psychosis, including common symptoms and misconceptions.
· Explore how different cultures interpret and respond to psychosis.
· Discuss how mental health professionals assess and treat psychotic symptoms.
