Next Step Bristol

Applications for Next Step Bristol are closed and will open in Summer 2025 for the 2025-26 cohort. 

This programme is a collaboration between current students, societies and the Widening Participation team.

You will receive advice, information and support during your final year of school or college and we will support your transition to becoming a University of Bristol student via a series of virtual events.

All virtual events will run during after-school hours and in less busy periods of your school year. Throughout the year there will likely be four online sessions and the opportunity to attend one on-campus event with a travel bursary to support your attendance. Exact dates and times will be confirmed upon joining the programme.

• Eligibility criteria: 
  Please note that applicants should be in Year 13 in September 2025 and identify as Black, Asian or mixed heritage including one or more of these groups to be able to be eligible for a place.
• Applicants must also have Home (UK) fee status and meet the entry requirements for the course that they plan on applying for (e.g. studying correct subjects).
• We accepted applications from Mature students (those aged over 21 at the start of their studies).
