How would you solve a conflict?

Have you ever thought you could do a better job of solving a conflict than politicians? Are you an armchair diplomat with all the answers? In this simulation we will look at an urgent conflict situation and use international institutional processes to try and negotiate a settlement.

Another conflict is on the verge of breaking out on the boarders of Europe. The powerful, autocratic Laurentian Federation is concerned about the treatment of the Laurentian minority in its neighbour, the newly democratic but weak Novara. Troops are massing on in the boarder zone and refugees are already fleeing the area in anticipation of a possible conflict. An emergency session of the UN security council has been convened in an attempt to bring a diplomatic solution to the matter.
