Full event details

The University's Department of Modern Languages is delighted to invite Sixth Form students to study with them for an afternoon (2pm-5pm) on the topic of 'Languages and Film'. The event is suitable for both AS and A level students. The afternoon will begin with a lecture on 'What can we really learn about a culture through film?' followed by two interactive workshops. During the booking process you will be asked to specify which language(s) the students are studying so that they can be allocated to the most appropriate workshops. There will also be an interval in which sixth-formers and teachers can talk to academics in the Modern Languages department so it will also be useful for anyone planning to study a Language at university. The cost of the event will be £5 for students, with free attendance for teachers.
