Universities have been thinking hard about how to ‘decolonise’ the curriculum and to challenge Eurocentric approaches. How does this affect how we study the Soviet Union? How does our understanding of key events shift if we move from thinking about the Russian experience to the other areas of the Soviet Union, such as Central Asia and the Caucasus?
