Lecture Title: How does your Sat Nav know which way to go?

In this taster lecture, we will look at path-finding algorithms. In particular, we will discuss how a satellite navigation system knows which way to send you. This will include data abstraction using graphs as well as graph traversal algorithms which are foundations for many modern computational tools. We will then look at a particular path-finding algorithm to actually solve the sat nav problem.
