Facilitated by GRIT’s highly skilled trainers, all with lived experience, the one-day workshop aims to support for students to explore and reflect on their cultural identity, experience connection and belonging whilst building networks, resources and relationships which will help them in their future personal and professional lives. Lunch is included for all staff and students attending the campus visit day, and funding for transport to and from the campus can be provided.

As well as supporting students to consider their future plans, evaluations of GRIT’s training methods have been proven to increase students’ progression rates by 12%, improve students’ attitudes to their studies by 80%, increase their aspirations and motivation by 97%, and significantly impact on students’ self-efficacy and resilience in approaching challenges both academic and personal.
