Ignite your Journey programme

Applications are now open to students currently in Year 12 for the University of Southampton’s Ignite your Journey programme. Part of our flagship widening participation activity, Ignite your Journey is designed to support university applications, help develop the skills needed for study at a research-led university and support the transition to higher education. Ignite your Journey takes place between August 2024 and April 2025.

The programme includes:

• an online learning module that will give you insight into life and study at a Russell Group university
• virtual Q&As, connecting you with experts on topics relevant to the journey to university
• on-campus activities, including travel bursaries to support your attendance
• e-mentoring with a current University of Southampton student who will share their experiences of university life.
   

Students who complete the programme in full will be eligible to receive additional admissions consideration when they apply to Southampton, a £1000 scholarship in their first year of study, plus support to apply for Ignite your Success, an alumni funded package of financial and development opportunities throughout your 3 years on-course.
