Join us at Avenue Campus for this study day which supplements the A-Level History curriculum. Aimed at Year 12 pupils and groups.
We welcome bookings from school and college groups as well as from individuals. NB: If you are a teacher and are making a group booking for your class, please make sure you book a ticket for each student and staff member you will be bringing.
Join us at our Early Modern and Modern History Study Day, which will build on the A-Level History curriculum. The day will run between 9:30am and 2:45pm.
Featuring talks from experts in the field, the event will tackle topics which cover or complement popular A-Level History modules, as well as showcasing some of the sheer range of History subjects on offer at Southampton.
The event will cover both British and non-British history. You'll hear lectures on topics including:
The Prayer Book Rebellion of 1549
The British Empire in the Modern World
The Manhattan Project and the Cold War
The Russian Revolution: Hopes, Fears, Tragedy
You'll have the chance to quiz our academics about these topics and your exams, and you'll talk to our brilliant current students about life and studying at university.
Lunch is not provided so please bring packed lunches. Alternatively, there are a range of catering outlets on campus where lunch can be purchased (NB: we are a cash-free campus and our facilities can only accept card payments).
We may be able to offer minibus parking (subject to availability) but regretfully cannot accommodate coach parking on our campuses.
