Join us for a friendly online taster lecture to support your current studies and find out what it might be like to study French at university.
Session time: Monday 10 June, 10.10-11.00
In this live and interactive session, a leading academic from University of East Anglia will discuss/debate L’Étranger by Albert Camus.
We invite the audience to shape the discussion with presubmitted and live questions and thoughts relating to key themes of the text. Expect a lively and dynamic session in which you will hear a wide range of different perspectives and insights and feel secure to contribute your own.
The session will be led in English but there will be constant reference to, and use of, French.
Suitable for: Year 12 & 13 students (and equivalent) studying, or with a more general interest in, L’Étranger. In addition, students with a possible interest in a degree in Modern Languages, French and related disciplines will gain an understanding of how texts are discussed in tutorials. Student groups, and individual students and teachers are very welcome to join us.
